According to the Emirates Golf Federation, there are 20 golf clubs in the UAE’s sheikhdom. The majority of clubs gravitate to Dubai and Abu Dhabi but there are clubs in Ras Al Khaimah and Sharjah.

With so many fabulous golf courses and luxury resorts, not to mention the gorgeous winter climate, the rise of the United Arab Emirates as a golf destination is no great surprise. Both Dubai and Abu Dhabi are now fully-fledged European Tour venues, with immaculate Championship courses from renowned designers. From the amazing Yas Links and Saadiyat Beach to Jumeirah Golf Estates and the Els Club, golf in the UAE is an amazing experience.

The Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) was formed in 1995 and is the Governing Body of Golf in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The EGF administrates and provides the United States Golf Association (USGA) Handicap System to all EGF members. The EGF sanctions all Professional and Amateur golf events in the UAE.

Currently the EGF represents over 7,500 members both directly through the EGF and also throughout the 20 golf clubs across the UAE.
