The rise in the popularity of golf in Poland has been remarkable. The sport has been played in the country for longer than you may think, with two 9-hole courses being opened at the start of the 20th century however the popularity of the sport stalled somewhat until the end of the communist era in 1992. Despite the distinct lack of courses, around twenty five, there are some truly spectacular designs planned by some of the most renowned golf course architects in the world.

All of Poland’s regions are home to golf courses of high quality. The most popular regions are Gdansk, Krakow, Warsaw and Wroclaw within which there are ten golf courses rated as championship standard locations.
