The 16th annual World Golfers Championships & Invitational was held October 30 – November 6, 2010 in Hua Hin, Thailand’s Royal Beach Resort. Hua Hin is the oldest and most traditional Thai resort. It has been a favorite Thai resort for over 70 years and is more and more being recognized as an international golf destination with many great courses to choose from. Boasting a 5 mile long beach and the highest density of world class golf courses anywhere in Thailand, it’s a true getaway for avid golfers.

Holiday Inn Regent Beach Resort
We stayed at the Holiday Inn Regent Beach Resort and played at Banyan, Black Mountain, Majestic Creek and Imperial Lake.

Holiday Inn Regent Beach Resort is located about two and a half hours from Bangkok and sits amongst 40 acres of lush tropical gardens on a beautiful beachfront.

Banyan Golf Club is a world-class championship golf and dining facility designed to be enjoyed by golfers of all levels. Banyan received two great awards at the Asia Pacific Golf Summit 2010, held by Asian Golf Monthly: 1st Runner Up for “Best Clubhouse in Asia Pacific and 2nd Runner Up for “Best Golf Course in Thailand.”

Black Mountain Golf Club
Black Mountain Golf Club is truly one of the best championship courses in Thailand. Designed to retain the natural splendor of the beautiful environment in a valley near the “Black Mountains” , it provides a magnificent backdrop to most of it’s holes. Many argue that it’s the best course in Thailand. Needless to say, it’s a true masterpiece.

Majestic Creek is quite a new course to Hua Hin and offers an interesting layout on a mountain side location close to the Burmese boarder.

Imperial Lake View has several water hazards to negotiate with doglegs and hidden greens to test the skills of all levels of golfers. Being a “thinking golfers” course, Lake View is one of the favourites for many residents of the area, as well as returning visitors.
